R U Green? Challenge

Description

The RU Green? Challenge is a 6-week environmental initiative to encourage individuals to make more environmentally sustainable decisions. The goal of this challenge is to create awareness that if we combine our individuals efforts, it will result a huge impact towards the environment. The competition challenges high school, university and the community to make small lifestyle changes, (what we call) “acts of green,” to create big results. The challenge awards points for environmentally sustainable actions, such as taking public transit, recycling, and switching to more energy efficient appliances.

In just 6 weeks, the RU Green? Challenge resulted in over
53,900 acts of green
Motivated over 500 people
Involved 13 countries
Offset 7.3 metric tonnes of CO2, which is the equivalent of planting 1,253 trees.

Winning Team had 4 members
Together, they achieved 3,042 acts of green!
