Dr. Mary Han (PhD, MBA, DBA)

Biographical Sketch

Dr Mary Han is an Associate Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship in the Ted Rogers School of Management at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada. She earned her Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree from the University of Strathclyde business school, United Kingdom.

She is currently (2009-2010) a visiting scholar at Mays Business School, Texas A & M University, USA. She has been invited to give guest lectures at the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, China; the Hong Kong Institute of Education; and Loyola University New Orleans, USA, amongst others. Her teaching, research and consulting activities are in the areas of strategic entrepreneurship, organizational adaptation and international management. Dr Han has co-edited two books on international entrepreneurship and published nine research articles in international journals.
Currently Dr Han sits on the editorial review board of the Strategic Management Journal.

Previously, she served as Division Chair, Program Chair and Academic Reviewer for both the International Business Division, and the Entrepreneurship and Family Business Division of the Administrative Sciences Association Canada (2006-2007).
Dr Han’s research was disseminated in more than 33 premier academic and professional conferences. Her research has also benefited her consulting and volunteer work with NGOs in the USA, Europe, China and India. Dr Han is frequently asked for expert advice by media such as the Financial Post and the Globe and Mail. 

Prior to joining academia, Dr Han had extensive real estate investment and financing experience. She advised investors and organizations across three continents and countries including China, Japan, Taiwan, USA and Canada.
