July 2009 – Member of the Month
July’s member of the month is a new SIFE Ryerson member of who joined the team to work alongside their teammates to work on a web-based project called Profitpedia, a website for start-ups. This project had great potential because it had a dedicated and hardworking task team who worked well together. However, this team faced challenges that forced the project to go on hold.
When members of the team were relocated to different projects, this person hit the ground running and used her marketing skills to terrific use on cross-campus marketing initiatives. She embraced what SIFE Ryerson truly strives to deliver: the best university experience ever.
Despite being a new member, Yarden Horwitz has made herself known to the SIFE Ryerson team by being available and dependable to her fellow staff. Her work on the Marketing team displays her passion and creativity, which have opened her up more to the team.
I have had the privilege to brainstorm with Yarden on how to recruit students from Ryerson University and she comes up with great ideas; one of which is using interuniversity rivalry to ignite competiveness amongst the students.
Yarden, I look forward to seeing what other amazing things you will accomplish both for yourself and for SIFE Ryerson in the upcoming 2009-2010 year.
